A split band of sterling silver, textured like molten bark, opens to hold two rectangular stones set side by side. One clear, one deep in colour, they catch the light differently with every turn of the head. Sculptural without being heavy, it sits somewhere between architectural and delicate.

No piercing needed, so the cuff simply hugs the upper edge of the ear. Choose the blackened tone with its violet stone, or polished silver with a deep black stone. Wear it alone on a bare ear, or let it sit above your existing studs.

How to wear it

Find the thin spot: locate the thinnest upper rim of your outer ear cartilage.
Slide it on: ease the open gap of the cuff over this narrow edge rather than forcing it straight down.
Move into place: slide the cuff down or rotate it toward the inner ear until it rests comfortably on your mid-cartilage or helix.
Secure the fit: sterling silver is soft enough to adjust, so gently pinch the ends together until snug, but avoid using extreme force.
Test it: give your ear a gentle tug or move your head to make sure it will not slip off.

Care

To keep your Kavati piece looking its best, avoid contact with water, perfume, lotion and harsh chemicals. Remove jewellery before showering, swimming or exercising. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear and store in a dry pouch or box away from direct sunlight.

Avoid repeatedly opening and closing the cuff, as frequent bending will weaken the metal over time. Adjust it once to fit your ear and then leave it.
